What will the inspection cover?

A thorough inspection covers everything from the roof to the foundation. See the "

Why can't I have someone in my family who is very handy or a
contractor, inspect my new home or property?

This is the biggest mistake many potential buyers and sellers make. Although
the person you are considering may be very skilled, they are not trained or
experienced at professional home inspections, and usually lack the specialized
equipment utilized during an inspection. Home inspection training and expertise
is a unique and like no other. Many contractors, and other trades professionals
hire a professional home inspector to inspect their homes when they make a
purchase.

How much notice do I need to give when requesting an
inspection?

Call me as soon as you are contemplating having the home inspected. I realize
that purchase offers are often contingent on the home inspection, so I can
usually perform the inspection within short notice of your request, even on
weekends.

Should I be present during the inspection?

Whenever possible, I recommend that you be present and accompany me
during the inspection. With you there, I can show you any defects and explain
their importance as well as point out maintenance features that will be helpful in
the future.

How long will the inspection take?

Most inspections take about 2-3 hours. These times may vary depending on the
size, age and condition of the home.

Do you carry liability insurance?

Yes, I carry liability insurance and I am NYS licensed (#1600010037). I will
gladly supply written proof of licensing and insurance upon request.

When can I expect my report?

Immediately following the inspection, I will recap any issues with you, and go
back to my office to prepare the final custom report with photos included. This
multi page narrative report will be emailed to you within 24 hours of the
inspection, and a hard copy will be priority mailed to you if requested.

What if I have questions after the inspection?

Feel free to call me to discuss the inspection of your new home whenever you
like.
